Fr. Michael Jarrett
Michael is the founder of The Trinity Mission. He was ordained a priest in the Anglican Communion in February 2011. Michael spent several years on Young Life staff, several years traveling North America and the U.K as a songwriter, several years as a spiritual director for a mission team in the Mexico mission field along the Texas border, a couple years as a pastor and volunteer ER chaplain in Waco, TX, and 10 months doing ecology and conservation work on a children’s home in central Texas (and doing spiritual formation with some of the staff on the side).
He has a passion for spiritual direction and formation. He wants badly for people to know Jesus – to know him as he is revealed in the Scripture and the breaking of the bread. The prayer services at thetrinitymission.org as well as the other resources that The Trinity Mission has developed and is currently developing are all products of that passion.
Michael and his wife Erica and their daughter are currently living in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas where they are working with the vulnerable along the Texas/Mexico border. Contributions to The Trinity Mission help support the Jarrett family in this work. If you are interested in learning more about this part of their work, please visit thebordermission.org.
Fr. Chris Cairns
Chris volunteers to lead the Evening Prayer service as he is able. He also handles most of our Facebook and Twitter posts/tweets.
He was ordained as an Anglican priest in November of 2006 and led the planting of Apostles Anglican Church in Knoxville, TN. He is the descendent of a long line of Anglican priests and/or military officers. Chris and his wife Elizabeth and their 3 children now live in Manhattan, KS where Chris serves as a chaplain in the U.S. Army.
Chris has done extensive research, writing, and speaking on Thomas Cranmer’s approach to Christian formation. He has a great desire to see people formed by an immersion in the Holy Scriptures – to see their work, their relationships, their values, the entirety of their lives changed by Christ and his Word.
